The Dress

Today I pulled out your coming home dress. The dress that hung in my closet, hoping it would call you home.

If I think about it hard enough it will be so.

No. No, it isn’t so.

None of it was ever in my control.

Just let it go.

But, there is no “just” on this stroll.

Because just means fair,

and there’s no fair to see here.

Except that I  met your soul,

and know you will always be near.
