10 months

Ten months old today. Unbelievable. I’ve been extra emotional lately, and lots of tears are falling this morning, but I thought I’d change my tone and share a funny story from the night Eva was born.

Joe and I were at the hospital all day, and had watched something on @comedycentral. Well, at some point the TV was muted, and a South Park marathon came on. Not sure why we didn’t just turn it off, it seemed to play for hours.

Max and my mom arrived right before dark. Now, I’m in full blown labor when I hear Max say, “What’s that, can you turn the volume up?” Somehow from the pain and haze my mama ears were still present and I shouted “Nooooooooo!” Typing this out makes me smile! And I’m pretty sure the TV still wasn’t shut off. So, in our comfy hospital birth room, we welcomed our precious girl into the world while Cartman and Kenny carried on their shenanigans. And I wouldn’t have it any other way, as it brought some normalcy to it all.

Oh sweet baby girl, missing you though we know you’re near. We love you and feel your love too. Always a family of four. ✨💕💕✨
